Welcome to Dept. of Management Humanities and Social Sciences (MHSS) 

With the commencement of academic session 2019–2020, The Department of Humanities & Social Sciences (HSS) and The School of Management (SOM) were merged, and the new department was renamed as the Department of Management, Humanities & Social Sciences (MHSS). Although Management, Humanities and Social Sciences are distinct fields, their intersections are evident in practice. In today's globalised world, knowledge from all three disciplines is crucial for shaping effective leaders, fostering organizational growth, and creating equitable graduates. The Department of Management, Humanities & Social Sciences was founded with the intention of educating management graduates and engineers to equip them with essential frameworks for understanding and addressing the complexities of human behavior, societal interactions, and organizational functioning. By integrating insights from these diverse disciplines, the Department of MHSS aims to foster more ethical, innovative, and effective solutions to the challenges faced by individuals.

The Department of MHSS represents broad academic disciplines that focus on understanding human behavior, societal dynamics, and organizational practices. These fields, though distinct in their approaches, often intersect in their goal of addressing complex challenges and improving the well-being of individuals, organizations, and society at large. The department takes an interdisciplinary in its approach. It offers courses in Economics, Accounting & Costing, Management Principles, Business Communication, and Communicative Skill Development for B.Tech. students and two years full- time Master Degree in Business Management course (MBA). Besides this the Department is committed to enhance the research productivity and encourages its students to actively pursue research in a diverse field of Management, Social Sciences, and Humanities domains by offering PhD in Management and Social Science area.
